EVERYONE IS WELCOMED TO PARTICIPATE

The Annual Joint Lenten Services began in 1969 with the historically black congregations throughout Miami-Dade County, Florida; Christ Church, St. Agnes, the Church of the Incarnation and the Church of the Transfiguration.

Each Sunday evening during Lent, one of these congregations hosted a corporate service with combined choirs, acolytes serving at the altar, combined choirs and guest clergy from all over the world. 

Over the years, other congregations have joined the services: the Church of the Ascension, the Church of the Holy Family, and Trinity Cathedral.

These collective services, initiated by the Union of Black Episcopalians (UBE), have made major donations to various ministries and missions.
