In Loving Memory of Mrs. Lona Brown Mathis
August 30, 1938 — March 12, 2026
The Historic St. Agnes Episcopal Church family mourns the loss of a lifelong and devoted member. Mrs. Mathis transitioned to the church triumphant on March 12, 2026.
- Her Legacy: She is remembered for her vibrant spirit, outspoken passion, and unwavering love for her parish and community. She was a member of the parish choir, Heritage Club, St. Threasa's Chapter of the ECW and Vestry Consultant.
- The Family’s Wishes: In accordance with the family's request, there will be no public Litany or Mass of the Resurrection.
- A Request for Privacy: The public is kindly asked to respect this decision during this difficult time.
- Call to Prayer: Please keep her daughter, son, and entire extended family in your continuous thoughts and prayers.
Her presence will be deeply missed by her parish family and the many organizations she served throughout her life
